INSIDE A SINGLE TRADE

Why that trade really lost

You remember the trade. You do not remember what the market was doing in the four timeframes around it, whether the session was trending, or whether you were fighting the day's direction. OTIS was not there either, but your broker file and the candles were, and between them the answer survives.

What is a trade autopsy?

It is the full reconstruction of one trade. The plain-language story of why it won or lost comes first, before a single number, because the number means nothing until you know what happened. Underneath it sits the evidence: the chart, the context that was live at entry, and the letter grade the trade earned.

The part nobody else has is the context. Seven signals are scored at your entry, and each one is marked as aligned with you, against you, or neutral. That is what you were never writing in the journal, because you were busy being in the trade.

INSIDE A SINGLE TRADE

It knows what you never wrote down

Open any trade, anywhere, and you get its full autopsy: the story of why it won or lost in plain English before a single number, then the evidence underneath.

THE CHART

Where you entered in the structure

Your trade drawn on the chart with premium, equilibrium and discount zones marked, plus break of structure and order blocks. Flip the timeframe from one minute to four hours.

EXCURSION

How far it ran, and what you gave back

How far the trade went in your favour, the worst point it reached against you, how much of the favourable move you handed back, and where price went in the hour after you left.

FOUR GRADES

Entry, exit, direction, composite

A verdict from A+ to F on each, with its own short reasoning, so a good trade that lost is never confused with a bad trade that won.

And the seven context flows, each scored as supporting your trade, fighting it, or neutral. The pattern gets read out loud, so you learn trade by trade what being in alignment actually looks like.

TRADE GRADES
Entry
A+
How good was this setup given pre-entry context?
A VWAP mean reversion setup was recognized and the execution was sharp, pattern present, entry clean. Highest-conviction spot: being wrong here is a bad-luck story, not a bad-process one.
Exit
C
Did the exit capture available move, or cut cleanly?
Profit and loss near zero in a low-volatility trade. Nothing meaningful happened during the window.
Direction
D
Did price go the intended way during the trade?
In-trade, favorable just edged adverse at 1.33x. The extended 60-minute window stayed adverse at 0.22x, so the call never played out. Blended 40/60 in-trade against extended comes to 0.67x, which drives the grade.
Composite
C
Average of the Entry, Exit and Direction grades
Entry A+, Exit C, Direction D. Strongest on Entry, weakest on Direction. That gap is where the coaching lives.

These five rows are the real ones from the public demo report. The same table flips to Most Expensive, which draws from your costliest loss cluster rather than your worst single day. Every row opens the full autopsy.

EVERY COLUMN

The whole row, sortable

Time, instrument, direction, size, entry and exit price, profit, how far it ran for and against you, how deep it went underwater, its four grades and the one-word verdict. Every row opens the full autopsy.

GRADE DISTRIBUTION

The shape of your whole book

How your Entry, Exit, Direction and Composite grades stack up across every trade at a glance. The wider the green, the more strong trades, and the pattern is visible before you read a single row.

OUTLIER PROTECTION

One freak trade never defines you

A broker-error loss or an overtrading blowout gets auto-flagged and held out of your aggregates, so your grades reflect typical trading. If it was legitimate, you restore it in one click.

What is reconstructed

For any trade in your history:

  • The plain-English story of the trade, before any figure
  • Seven context signals at entry, each marked aligned, opposed or neutral
  • A letter grade for the trade, on the same scale as everything else
  • The chart around your entry and exit
  • Whether the trade belonged to a flagged pattern, and which one
  • What holding longer would have done to it

What it gives you

The argument with yourself ends

You stop re-litigating a loss from memory, because the record of the market at that moment is sitting next to it.

Bad luck and bad process separate

A well-executed trade that lost and a badly executed trade that won stop looking the same.

You can search the whole book in plain language

Ask your own history a question in words and get the trades back, rather than scrolling a spreadsheet.

Patterns stop being anecdotes

Once the same context appears under twenty losses, it is not a story any more.

How a trade is read

1

Your fill is matched to the market data

The candles around your entry and exit are pulled for the instrument you actually traded.

2

The seven signals are scored at that timestamp

Not at the close, not on the daily. At the moment you clicked.

3

The verdict is written before the numbers

Because a paragraph you understand changes behaviour and a table rarely does.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

See what is working, and the one thing to fix

Your diagnosis names the leak costing you the most and prices it in your own dollars. If you want a hand closing it, you get thirty days: a daily protocol built from your own leak, two live rooms a week with a clinical psychologist, and a re-grade at the end on the same axes, so you can see whether it moved.

THIRTY DAYS

One leak, worked daily

A protocol built from your own pattern, not a course. One thing to hold each morning, one mark each night, and a re-grade at the end. OTIS Plus is $299, once.

EVERY WEEK

Two rooms, and someone who has heard it before

Monday office hours on your own report, and four Wednesday sessions with Dr. Thébaud. Included, not an add-on.

NO RISK TO YOU

Thirty days money back, for any reason

Not conditional on your grade moving and not conditional on anything else. And the diagnosis itself stays free whatever you decide.

Got questions?

Does this work on old trades?

Yes, as far back as your broker file and the market data reach. If the data does not cover a trade, that trade says so rather than filling in.

Can I look at my best trades too?

Yes, and you should. The receipts table flips between your best and your most expensive, because knowing what your good trades had in common is the other half of the job.

Is it going to tell me I am a bad trader?

It is going to tell you what happened. A great many traders find out that their entries were fine and something else was costing them.

Your broker file already has the answer.

One export. Both scores, all twelve grades, your costliest leak priced in your own dollars.
